Semantic Linking & Binding

The highest-value work — wiring curated knowledge into chains that agents and RAG systems can traverse to produce governed, evidence-backed answers.

Builds on: Phase 2 — Curation & Refinement
Phase 2 produces production-quality graph content. Phase 3 wires that content into traversable semantic chains that downstream consumers resolve against.
Cross-Layer Chain Authoring
Build the semantic chains that make the Enterprise Brain work: concept → metric definition → technical source → operational feed → governance policy. Each chain is a traversable path through the graph that an agent or RAG query follows to assemble a governed answer.
Metric Certification
A metric definition isn't trusted until it's certified — verified source binding, confirmed calculation logic, attested by a domain owner. Certified metrics get a seal that downstream consumers can rely on. Uncertified metrics carry a warning.
Retrieval Configuration
Configure how RAG queries resolve through the graph: which subgraphs to search, maximum traversal depth, vector-plus-graph blend weights, reranking strategy. Each configuration is versioned and auditable — no invisible tuning knobs.
Retrieval Preview & Testing
Before a semantic binding goes live, test it. Run sample queries and see exactly what the retrieval path resolves — which nodes are visited, which evidence is assembled, what confidence score the answer carries. A Knowledge Engineer can see the full resolution chain before any consumer sees it.
Binding Workbench
The first-class authoring surface for semantic bindings. Drag concepts from the taxonomy, wire them to data sources and operational feeds, attach governance policies, and preview the traversal path. Visual, auditable, version-controlled.
Five-Layer Lens Views
Each context layer has a distinct binding mode: Domain is author-heavy (human-crafted definitions), Data is hybrid (discovered lineage plus human annotation), Technical is connect-and-confirm (automated discovery with human approval), Operational is connect-and-stream (real-time feeds), Governance is author-control-plane (policy as code).
